Bake! Bake! Bake!

Today I am baking lots of cookies to give to my neighbors for Christmas. 2 down several more to go. So far the coconut balls and the chocolate covered gingerbread men are delish!

I finished baking a few more tonight. The peanut butter ones with the reese's are a big hit, the one's with the hershey kiss is a winner but the black bottom cupcakes didn't work out to well. My cream cheese mixture was a little runny. Odd! 3 more kinds and then I am done.

Hey Kim~
After I got off the phone with you, Cole came down with eyes full of tears saying his head hurts. He bought himself another sick day. I sure hope he gets better by Saturday.

Hope you're baking turned out well. You'll have to send me the coconut recipe because my mom and grandpa love coconut.

It is the easiest recipe ever:

Simmer one stick of margarine, 3/4 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1 pkg. cut-up dates, for 10 minutes. Stir in 3 cups of rice Krispies and 1/2 cup chopped pecans. Push off mixture from a dessert spoon into pkg. shredded coconut. Roll lightly between palm of hands. Work Fast! Makes about 48 puffs!

I have been eating these since I was a little girl. One of my fav.'s.

You both with just have to take care of each other.

Thanks for the recipe, I just printed it. I'm going to take it to Texas.
I forgot to mention that I like your new blog pic. Where did you find that cool hat? Is it a Dept 56? They have the coolest witch hats. Our Halloween party is going to be a costume one, so you better find a dress and cape too :+)

Believe it or not, that hat was from Joanne Fabric's. It was the only one they had left. I normally buy a hat every year for my party. But I think this one is a keeper. I got so many compliments on it at the party that night.

I will be sure to search for that cape and dress. Bring on the Party!

Hey girl~Are you revived now? I can't believe you were going to bake! Sorry if my call woke you up, but I'm good at waking people up. Just ask Claudia :+)

When we get back, I would like your old man and my old man to come out to dinner one night. Your hubby sounds like a good guy and I think Mr. Beason is A.O.K.

I really need to go take some medicine now. Throat=fire :+(
