Happy Holidays!!!!!!

Today was a Great day! Delivering all the homemade cookies to my wonderful neighbors. All the hard work is worth just seeing their delighted faces. I know all the mom's around me are very busy and don't have time to bake. So I am so happy to be able to bring some joy to their families and their tummy's. I adore my neighbors. I have had the opportunity to get to know some of them very well. They are all a pleasure to be around and bring me such joy since I don't have any family living around me. I love the gift of giving. It means more to me to give than to receive. My mother said I was always like that when I was a little girl.

I made 10 different kinds of goodies:
Mini Cheesecakes w/ Strawberries
Peanut Butter cookies w/ Hershey Kiss
Peanut Butter cookies w/ Reese Cup
Black Bottom Cupcakes
Coconut Golf Balls
Chocolate Covered Gingerbread Men
Chocolate Covered Pretzels
Chocolate covered Oreo's
Italian Lemon Cookies
Nut Horns

I want to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Sharing the holiday's with family is a wonderful thing. But I think we all take it for granite until it is taken away from you. I moved away at 17 and I have not been home for Christmas since. With out giving my age away to easily, my oldest is 21 and my youngest is 20. It just was never in my cards to get home for the holidays. Raising babies, the expense and not being able to take off work were some of the deterrent's. I know this time of the year can be very stressful. Of course, the expense of gift buying, who's family do we go see now and just trying to squeeze in all the things you have on that mile long list before Christmas. I have always thought I would be spending the holidays with my kids. I guess I took that for granite. Because Brendan will not be around this year has me thinking about how important those family visits are around this time of the year. Don't get me wrong. I have always enjoyed the family gatherings with the in-laws. But I feel that part of me will be missing this year.

I have spoke to Brendan several times and he has been emailing me as well. War is not like it use to be. Internet and emails! Yeah! I think I am more sad for him than I am for myself. I will have my husband and my daughter to keep my mind off Brendan and thinking about him in Iraq. He really hasn't expressed that he was homesick yet. But I'm sure come Christmas morning he will wish he was sitting on the couch opening presents and visiting with Family.

I would also like to take this time to thank all my Ebay Friends for all your support this past year. I love what I do and I am so lucky that I am able to do what I have a deep passion for which is design. You know what they say, if you can find a job that you love so much that you would be willing to do it for free, then you have the best of both worlds. You guys have given me the opportunity to share a part of myself. I can't thank you all enough for supporting my obsession. I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from my family to yours.

Don't forget to hug that family member, give them a kiss and tell them you love them, just remember you never know what tomorrow could bring.

Love to All!!!!

Merry Christmas Kim! Can real food actually look as good as the pictures you posted here! It looks fabulous!
I prayed for Brendan this morning- I saw some young soilders at DFW airport yesterday and I went up and thanked them. I saw people doing that - greeting and thanking soldiers throughout the airport- I was proud of everyone!
Take care-
John

Hey Kim!

WOW that was from the heart...the way I like it! :)

You are such a genuine person in a un-genuine world...I can tell you are a giver, I am too...sometimes people take advantage of that BUT we still do it...your neighbors are VERY lucky and I am sure you brought MUCH needed cheer!

Know that you are always in your son's heart and that will help you through the separation!

I cherish your friendship and I still love my ornies!! They are in a proud spot on my Hallomas tree. CAN'T wait to see my family's reaction at my Xmas Eve Party! '-)

Warmest holiday wishes and thanks for being a good friend!

XOXO
Chris

Chris you are the sweetest guy I know (besides my little chuckles). You know we live is such a crazy world for sure. I feel so lucky that I have gotten to know you this year. And I can tell we will become even closer next year. I think that anyone that crosses your path is such a lucky person. I definetly feel honored to be one of the chosen ones.

Thanks so much Chris for just being you!

Hey Kim!
Merry Christmas!!! Those cookies look so yummy and I wish I could have eaten some! That was a really nice post and I'm so glad we were able to meet this year. I know we'll have many more good times ahead. Your daughter is beautiful and she looks like she's having a blast at college. I'm sure you miss her much, but at least you'll be able to enjoy her company over Christmas. Wish you could have your son at home too.

I'll chat with you later...
