Brendan Returns from the "Big Sand Box"!

Yeah! The 2nd Battalion, 325th Airbourne Infantry Regiment from Fort Bragg is finally home. This would be wonderful news. Because that means my "Baby Boy Brendan" has just returned from Iraq!!!!! It was a short stay for him. He was extremely lucky. Almost all of the men in his troop had been in Iraq for 15 months. I can only imagine how they feel about being back home with their loved ones and on American soil. My son Brendan joined the Army back in April of last year. He was sent to fight for our country in November 2007 which is when he joined his fellow comrades in Iraq. I can't believe he has already returned. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining. I just never thought he would be back so soon. But boy and I happy!

Brendan I can't wait to give you big hugs and kisses. I'm so glad you are home safe and sound. I am so very proud of you. You are my hero! Love Mom

Thanks Janell and Suz, It does seem like a lifetime since he left a few months ago. I know he is so happy to be home. I think he saw alot a things I don't think as a mom I am ready to hear. All I know is that he is safe and sound.

Sending up prayers of thanks for his safety, and continued prayers for peace, and the safe return of all the men and women over there.
